City of Madness by WillWorks City of Madness by WillWorks
Edge of Madness is finally done. I am happy with the drawing and I like the affects of it. What inspired me to draw this was Malfeas from World of Darkness and Spire from Myst.

Medium: Graphite

I some ways it is a remake of this work.

I would like to thank

kamamax

Well constructed from or inspired by  the sorts of crazy angles and viewpoints on can find in real cities, but taken much further. An interesting commentary of urban living and finding insecurity where one is supposed to be safest.

I think it may have taken over 70 hours I am not sure. I had to take breaks from it. However, it taken a long time to make sure everything is in a right place. :)

excellent work! the perspective is well executed and this work yields in fact a glimpse on existential anxiety, which is the core of madness if not resolved by a functioning symbolic order

wow great perspective and i like how one side is shaded, cannot imagine living in a space that is tightly confined and a fire or disease would probably wipe out the whole place xD those shadows by the woman, is that waving grass we are seeing? a hope of green beyond that madness? and wonderful details

Oh! This is great! I love how it seems as if she's just on the verge of slipping of the edge into the abyss that is the city. Almost makes me dizzy to look at it for too long but I can't help but keep looking, it's stunning! :+fav:

The edge is like a threshold of stress and bound the edge is a city with paradoxical forms. These forms are not physically possible. by looking at this you may think it is impossible to navigate this city.
